God’s
Word – Inspired & Infallible.
God's word is absolute truth. It is the all-sufficient guide for faith and life on this earth. Memorizing scripture and reading the Bible daily is vital for our spiritual growth.
"All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work." - 2 Timothy 3:16-17
God's Love – Unconditional & Forgiving.
We strive to demonstrate God's love to those we meet every day. God's love can restore lives and relationships whenever it is given the opportunity, and we desire to be a conduit for that life-giving and transforming love.
"Dear friends, let us love one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been
born of God and knows God." - 1 John 4:7
Faithfulness – Persevering & Steadfast.
If you're around The Rock Church very long, you are sure to hear the phrase "Long obedience in the same direction." We believe that demonstrating faithfulness to the mission of Jesus; those we love, and those we serve can change our community and the world for the better.
"But the one who looks intently into the perfect law of freedom and perseveres in it and is not a forgetful hearer but one who does good works — this person will be blessed in what he does." - James 1:25
Giving – Joyfully & Immediately.
Because we see God's faithfulness in our lives every day, we gladly give Him our time, talents, and treasure. Our goal is to live with open hearts and hands, meeting the physical and spiritual needs of the world around us. We believe that God will transform our hearts as our focus moves off of ourselves and onto the needs of others.
"Each person should do as he has decided in his heart — not reluctantly or out of necessity,
for God loves a cheerful giver." - 2 Corinthians 9:7
Family – God-Given & Blessed.
Healthy relationships foster growth and development for everyone involved. It is our desire to see healthy relationships in our homes, our church, and our community. By inviting God's love into each of these areas, we will see health and strength developed, and we'll gain a glimpse of Gods' Kingdom here on the earth.
"Show family affection to one another with brotherly love. Outdo one another in showing honor." - Romans 12:10
